The stippling is the same technique used on the famous Alloa bottles.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe name of Margaret Sanderson and date of birth of 29th January 1829 has allowed me to find out a bit more about the family. Research suggests they were from South Shields. Margaret’s father worked as a glass blower and her brothers were shipwrights. It appears that the Sanderson family had a mariners background in the area.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is one of the best pieces of folk art I’ve had in a while.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition is good, commensurate with age and use.
