The flat wooden back features a clever, hand carved sliding paddle lid that opens smoothly to reveal the inner bait chamber.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDeeply incised into the wood are the maker's initials, \"E.P.\", alongside a date of 1938.
