An unusual and rather disturbing antique early 20th century primitively made leather elephant mask. It shows some signs of its original paint and has a naive pointed trunk, interestingly baring similarities to a plague Doctor’s mask. It certainly has a macabre feel to it and displays magnificently hung on a wall.
Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. Signs of character and age related wear. The Leather is a bit creased in places and sone wear to the end of the Nose.
