A Wonderful Pair Of Vintage American Retired Clown Shoes Which Now Make For Some Wild Decorative Pieces.
Research suggests they were manufactured by the B.B. Walker Shoe Company of Asheboro, North Carolina, and bear the distinctive American Walker maker’s mark. With their exaggerated proportions and wonderfully theatrical appearance, these shoes have all the charm of traditional circus and clown costume, designed to create an instantly recognisable comic silhouette. They date broadly to the late 20th century.
