A Rather Interesting Antique Fire Damaged Stoneware Bottle.
It has a classic form with a narrow neck, rounded lip, and cylindrical body, typical of late 19th to early 20th century storage bottles used for liquids such as ink, chemicals, or spirits.
The surface has heavy discolouration, blistering, and soot staining, along with areas of oxidised residue and pitting. The glaze appears partially compromised, with mottled patches where intense heat altered the original finish.
Its visually striking colour and unknown story make for a wonderful addition to a cabinet of curiosities. A true survivor!
Condition as mentioned, structurally sound but with heavy discolouration, blistering, and soot staining, along with areas of oxidised residue and pitting. The glaze appears partially compromised, with mottled patches.
