A charming pair of vintage scratch built folk art fairground ‘Splat A Rat’ mallets.
“Splat A Rat" is a traditional fairground game where a stall holder drops a soft rat shaped toy through a pipe. The objective is to use a bat or mallet to strike the rat before it hits the ground or completely exits the bottom of the tube.
These pieces are wonderfully naive, folky and fabulously decorative! Original chains which allow for hanging on a wall.
Condition is good, commensurate with age and use. Structurally sound.
